Worship should be done with the ring finger. Worship with all the ingredients of Shodashopachar, during this the mantra should be chanted. After the worship, offer prasad. After the main worship, now light a lamp in the main gate or courtyard during the Pradosh period. Also, one should light a lamp named after Yama. After that light a lamp at all the corners of the house.
