Ganesh Utsav is starting from today. It will conclude on 7 September 2024 on the day of Anant Chaturdashi. The Ganesh festival begins on the fourth day of the bright fortnight in the month of Bhadrapada every year. On this day, idols of Ganesha are placed in houses and pandals. Establishment of Ganpati Bappa
The idol of Lord Ganesha should be placed in the northeast corner and face north.
Before placing the idol of Lord Ganesha on the seat, clean it thoroughly and sprinkle it with Ganga water.

Rules of Ganesh Installation
If you are also going to install an idol of Ganpati Bappa in your house, install it in the northeast direction. Also, make sure that the face of the statue should be facing west.
Before installing Ganpati Bappa, clean the place where you are going to install Lord Ganesha. Do not allow any impurities and garbage to remain in that place.
Then install the idol of Bappa at the auspicious time. After installing Lord Ganesha, perform Puja and Aarti every morning and evening. Offer offerings to Lord Ganesha at both times and show incense and lamps.
Once you have installed the idol of Lord Ganesha, then do not remove it. Only at the time of immersion can the idol be removed from there.

What Materials Are Needed to Install Ganesh Ji?

As a material, you will need an idol of Shri Ganesh, a chowki for worship, a red cloth, a water urn, roli, panchamrut, Kalawa, Akshat, Janeu, Gangajal, cardamom-cloves, silver work, betel nut, Panchmewa, coconut, and ghee-camphor.
