The festival of Chaitra Navratri will start on Tuesday, 09 April.┬а According to the Hindu calendar, Chaitra Navratri begins on the date of Akam of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. During this nine forms of Maa Durga are worshiped with devotion. The devotee who worships Maa Durga with full devotion gets her special blessings.

The festival of Navaratri is celebrated 4 times a year, which there are Chaitra and Sharadiya Navaratri and two Gupta Navaratri. According to the Hindu calendar, Chaitra Navratri begins on the date of Akam of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. This time the festival of Chaitra Navratri will start on the 09th of April Tuesday and will end on the 17th of April. Ghatasthapana is performed on the first day of Navratri i.e. Ekam. It is believed that special blessings of Goddess Bhagwati are received by reciting Mata during Navratri.
