In the Hindu calendar, the last day of Shukla Paksha in each month is called Purnima. Whereas on this day the full moon is visible during the night. Purnima has special significance in Hindu Sanatan Dharma and this date comes only once a month. The second month starts the next day. According to Hindu theology, there is great importance in bathing, donating, and worshiping on the full moon day. On this day, after bathing in a holy river, tank or lake, etc., the fasting story of Shri Satyanarayan Swami is recited or heard. Which is considered very auspicious. There are 12 full moon dates in a year and if there is a maximum month in a Hindu year, then there are 13 full moon dates in that year.
