How To Worship Dhanteras - Dhan Teras Auspicious Time And Date

Diwali festival is of 5 days, which starts from Dhanteras and ends on Bhai Dooj. Dhanteras festival is celebrated before Diwali to please Goddess Lakshmi. According to the Vedic calendar, this festival is celebrated every year on the Trayodashi date of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. This year Dhanvantari Jayanti i.e. Dhanteras will be celebrated on October 18. The five festivals of Diwali start from Dhanteras and end on Bhai Dooj.

According to astrology prediction, there is a lot of confusion about Dhanteras in 2025, some people say that the festival of Dhan Teras will be celebrated on October 18, while some people will celebrate this festival on October 19. Importance of Dhanteras

Dhanteras Puja Vidhi

• On the day of Dhanteras, after cleaning in the morning, take a bath before sunrise and wear clean or new clothes.
  
  

• Make rangoli at the main entrance. Clean your workplace, and shop as well. Wear a garland. Make footprints of Lakshmi ji.
  
  

• Lord Dhanvantri should be offered Krishna Tulsi, cow milk, and butter made from it. If you have bought brass items, then definitely gift them. Recite Dhanvantri Stotra.
  
  

• Worship Kubera, the god of wealth, and Goddess Lakshmi with the Shodopchar method. Offer kumkum, turmeric, rice, bhog. Worship the deities in the north direction.
  
  

• Shop in the auspicious time. Whatever you buy, first offer it to Goddess Lakshmi in the worship of Dhanteras and then use it.
  
  

• Make a four-sided lamp with flour in the evening. Put mustard or sesame oil in it and place it outside the house in the south direction or on the threshold.
  
  

• Auspicious time for shopping on Dhanteras.
  
  

• According to the Vedic Panchang, the day of Dhanteras, shopping is considered very auspicious. They will start from 12:18 pm and will remain till 04:23 pm. Shopping done increases wealth three times.
