Ganesh Chaturthi has great importance in the Hindu religion. On the other hand, Ganesh Chaturthi comes on both the fortnights of every month and thus there are 24 Chaturthi dates in a month. On the other hand, in the year in which Adhikamas is taking place, 26 Chaturthi dates fall that year. And these Chaturthi dates are known as Vinayaka Chaturthi and Sankashti Chaturthi. In the Hindu calendar of India, each lunar month has two Chaturthi Tithis.
