Vidyarambh Sanskar should not be performed on Chaturdashi, Amavasya, Pratipada, Ashtami, and Surya Sankranti.
Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Taurus, and Sagittarius ascendants are considered auspicious for Vidyarambh Sanskar.
Basant Panchami is generally considered auspicious for the Vidyarambh Sanskar of the child as it is the day of Goddess Saraswati.
This work should not be done on Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Paush, Magh, and Phalgun month.
