Panchak 2025
Panchak is five days when the Moon is in Aquarius and Pisces. According to ancient Indian mythology, it is considered a very inauspicious time and it is advised not to start any new work during Panchak. It is said that if any work is started during Panchak, it never gets completed and instead the troubles increase fivefold. In Hindu Vedic astrology, people usually refer to the Panchang and take note of the auspicious time to perform various tasks like marriage, starting a business, building a house, etc. Timing is of great importance and people leave no stone unturned to choose the right time. Panchak is considered very bad as per Hindu mythology.
What Are Panchak And Why Are They Considered Inauspicious?
During Panchak, the above tasks may get delayed. According to Rajmartand, traveling south, constructing a roof, collecting fuel, or making a cot in Dhanishta Nakshatra can cause fire shock. Doing these tasks in Shatabhisha Nakshatra causes quarrels. Doing these tasks in Purvabhadrapada Nakshatra causes illness, punishment in Uttarabhadrapada Nakshatra, and loss of wealth in Revati Nakshatra.
Panchak Nakshatra Effects
According to the Hindu Vedic calendar, Panchak occurs for five days every month. When the Moon is in Pisces or Aquarius, that time is called Dhanishta Panchak, which is considered very unfavorable for planning to start any work. It is believed that the work never gets completed. According to Hindu Vedic astrology, Panchak is a collection of 5 nakshatras which are as follows:-
Dhanishta- If any work is started during this period then there can be a fire accident.
Purva Bhadrapada- This period can cause some serious diseases.
Shatabhisha- This period can cause physical disability.
Uttar Bhadrapada- It can cause financial losses like penalties, fines, etc.
Revati Nakshatra- This period can cause turbulent financial conditions and a shortage of cash.

Conclusion
Hindus across the world celebrate every festival and ceremony by looking at the tithi which tells whether that date and time is auspicious or inauspicious for that event. So, the day, date, and time are important while planning anything according to the Hindu calendar. However, some festivals are also celebrated on fixed dates which again are based on calculations done on the movement of celestial bodies. Traditionally it is believed that if an occasion is celebrated during an auspicious time then it brings good luck and if it is celebrated during an inauspicious time, it may cause obstacles and misfortune in work. Panchak or Panchak Yoga or Panchak Kaal is one such inauspicious time. As per Vedic Hindu astrology and traditional Hindu religious beliefs, work started during Panchak Yoga remains incomplete as it is delayed due to obstacles and repeated five more times. It is advised that you do not be careless about it and do everything under the guidance of an experienced and educated astrologer. So you should talk to astrologers directly.
