Karnavedha Muhurat 2025 - Ear Piercing Muhurat 2025

Karnavedha Muhurat 2025 - Ear Piercing Muhurat 2025

In Sanatan Dharma, auspicious time is selected by astrologers for every auspicious work. Six months after the birth of a child, many auspicious programs like Annaprashan, ear piercing, etc. take place. 16 sanskars have special importance in Hindu religion and among these 16 sanskars, ear piercing is the ninth sanskar. Karnchedan means ear piercing. During this ritual, the child's ears are pierced and a gold or silver wire is worn. Under this, there is a tradition of piercing the right ear of a boy and the left ear of a girl. Ear piercing ceremony is done so that the child's hearing ability can develop and negativity can be removed from the child's life. It is said in the scriptures that the one whose Karnavedha rites are not performed is not considered entitled to perform the last rites of his family members.

Method of Performing Karnavedha Sanskar

    • A temple or a holy place should be selected for the ear-piercing ceremony.

    • The child should be bathed and dressed in new and clean clothes.

    • Before starting the ear-piercing ritual, one should invoke the Gods and Goddesses and one's favorite deities. For this, you can take the help of a priest.

    • During this process, the child's parents should sit facing the direction of the sun.

    • During this ritual, mantras are continuously chanted in the child's ears.

Benefits of Ear Piercing

    • Karnavedha Sanskar improves hearing ability and sharpens eyesight.

    • Ear piercing reduces the risk of serious diseases like paralysis, hernia, deafness, and mental illness.

    • Evil powers are removed and the person lives longer.

    • This improves blood circulation in the brain and the brain works faster.

    • According to Hindu belief, ear piercing improves personality.

    • By performing this Sanskar, the ill effects of Rahu-Ketu are also removed from the child's life.

    • Apart from this, crises in life go away.

The Right Age for Ear Piercing

Karnavedha Sanskar can be performed on the twelfth or sixteenth day after birth. Apart from this, it can be done in 6, 7, or 8 months from the month of birth or even in odd years from the year of birth. This sanskara should be performed only within three to five years of the birth of the child.
